Need help perfecting your outdoor living space with landscaping? Well OIDB has just what you need to succeed. Your outdoor spaces should have its own character and way of speaking for itself. We’re going to teach you the importance of framing, focal points and how seating all play a role in this.
Lawn Framing
Setting a frame around your lawn and follow the perimeters when it comes to your landscape. This doesn’t necessarily have to take place in a perfectly symmetrical yard, but following a frame can act as a guideline and organize your space. The grass area leaves room for kids to play or pets to use, depending on who resides here. Keeping a manicured lawn will also keep your landscape looking fresh.
Incorporate Focal Points
It’s important to keep the eyes entertained when designing your outdoor space. This means having one big focal point, or focal points, to your landscape. We suggest adding in a water feature, much like the one pictured above or sculpture to your area. Also be sure to take advantage of seating arrangements which leads us to our next point.
Seating is a MUST

This is crucial when developing functional outdoor living areas, as this is the area is used when you want to relax and decompress at the end of a long day. This area may be customized for your own individual space to meditate or may be designed for large outdoor gatherings, but either way you will want to think about it in the overall design!
